Community is the essence of what web3/decentralize applications/decentralized finance/crypto are all about. No community represents that better than the Doge community. The original “do gooders” of the crypto space. From raising $25,000 in 2014 to send the Jamaican team to the 2014 winter Olympics, to raising money to give drinking water to people in developing counties, the Doge community of loyal “shibes” were the original “good bois.” Holding strongly to the “Do only good” motto and lighthearted, passionate, fun, and loyal personality, not unlike the shiba inu dog of the original meme. Dogecoin was essentially created for the purpose to achieve this motto, through tipping and charity, and has built the strongest community in crypto. Though "doge" was initially misspelled for comedic value, we refer to it as an acronym for "Do Only Good Everyday." Consequently, even though the NFT art's story line that the Doge Project created emphatically portrays what we all want to see… dogecoin overtake those cryptocurrencies in the way and be the crypto of the future... "Doing Only Good Everyday" through the community will always be the goal. Doge Project’s first application, the Decentralized Lottery game, is developed in a way to mirror a traditional lottery system, to help achieve this goal. Sales of lottery tickets will be distributed into buckets for different purposes, which include giving back to the loyal community and a charity pool that is voted on by the NFT holder's.

Though we have a community first mindset, the best way to serve the community is by growing the assets we hold. That is why we feel that the decentralized lottery will be valuable to the community members. They will not be buying into another utility-less NFT project that promises future benefits for holding now, forcing the community to rely on the good word and speculation of the project. Instead we are providing value that the community can see every week.

Trust:

In any system, the most difficult thing to build and easiest thing to lose, is trust. We are not promising the stars and producing the ground, we are transparent in our projects outlook and future. The project team will provide the backbone and guardrails, but it is ultimately up to the decentralized community to decide the future of the project. Projects can take time. Things don’t always work out exactly how they are planned and therefore need to be adjusted.
