Problem
The gaming industry, as well as the demographics of lottery players, are rapidly changing.
Lottery games have come a long way from their inception over 2000 years ago. The games survived, whether supported or prohibited by Governments, and as the authorities realized that the lottery could be turned it into a source of funding for Government Programs, it has been turned into what some even see as a kind of tax. Accordingly, there are frustrations with any centralized system. Trust and transparency remain issues for those who play- whether it's due to the lack in integrity, lack of transparency, lack of control, or just pure chance playing games on behalf of our own fulfilling desires for wealth at any cost.
Solution
With the adapting and evolving landscape of all financial institutions, blockchain technology and web3 are the next logical step in the evolution of lotteries, allowing autonomous decentralized operations with a high level of participant gains, transparency, privacy, security, and global access to a fair and just game.
As we face the promise of the combination between financial institutions and information technology, Doge Project intends to use smart contracts and blockchain in decentralized, intelligent, and secure systems to form an exclusive lottery, owned and managed by the community. We find it fitting that this Decentralized Lottery system should start with the community that was the first "fun-currency" and do-gooders of the crypto space. Though Doge coin was started as a joke, there is no joking about this first project from the Doge Project. To go along with the new exclusive Decentralized Lottery system, the Doge Project will also be emphasizing the Doge community’s mantra of "Do Good Only" through its dynamic strengths of community and charity.
Web3
Web3 has been defined as being the “next evolution of the internet.” Web2 is the internet we know today. It is based on the functionality of read-write. Where we have massive tech companies that own everything, collecting data, selling data, in essence selling every individual that interacts (or doesn’t) with the technology. With Web3, that power dynamic changes. Web3 is based on read-write-own and/or read-write-execute functionality. The focus of Web3 being decentralization and making online communities owned by everyone, with transparent information sharing. No more tech companies gathering, storing, and selling each person. Instead of storing information through database giants, all information will be freely shared and stored in many locations using distributed computing. Everything will be shared, controlled, and managed by Decentralized Autonomous Organizations. DAOs are groups built for one purpose, community run, relying on each member within the DAO to work in the best interest of reaching a common goal.

There are few if any exclusive lotteries.
Others who have tried, have set astronomical price points for both access NFTs and the lottery tickets, setting them at ~$2k and ~$1k respectively. Our access NFTs are reasonably priced at $69 and $15 per lottery ticket. Additionally, should the community feel this price is too low or two high, they have the option of voting to adjust the price.
Others who have tried have failed to get proper permits and licenses. We will have the proper gambling licenses need to have a legitimate online lottery.
Others who have tried have been unprofessional and tried to create a get rich quick scheme, opposed to creating a community. We have and continue to put the community first. We have put substantial resources into our web development and all decentralized applications development. We will have our smart contracts audited as well.
No one has attempted to start an exclusive decentralized lottery, where the odds for the community are transparent and manageable.
We will also be introducing a very interesting and valuable aspect to the game, we will be developing a lounge that members will have access to in the metaverse. Members will be able to buy and sell their NFTs in this lounge, interact with other community members, and buy their lottery tickets. We are teaming with a web3 metaverse (Wonder Land) that is currently the only metaverse that can be accessed in Virtual Reality.
Additionally, as has been iterated, we will be strongly emphasizing community. There will be many incentives and benefits to being a part of this community that will drive the community to participate and engage, creating value for the loyalty of the community. Creating an aspect of “skin in the game” that is powerful.
